Superior Energy Services (SPN)
Superior Energy Services provides specialized oilfield services and equipment, focused on serving drilling and production-related need of the oil and gas companies. The company also works on the plug and abandonment and decommissioning services that are required when a well’s life expires. Superior Energy Services includes three business segments. First is the sub sea and well enhancement sector where they are leaders in “rigless” production-related services. The sub sea sector also offers mechanical wireline, cased-hole logging, coiled tubing, and well control, just to name a few. Superior’s second sector is drilling products and services which is where they manufacture, rent and sell specialized tools for drilling, completion, and production and workover activities. Finally, their third sector is marine services. Through SPN’s marine services they own and operate a fleet of rental lifeboats in the Gulf of Mexico, provide maintenance and production enhancement projects, while they own and operate a derrick barge with an anchor-handling tug.
