Cheniere Energy, Inc. (LNG)
Cheniere Energy, Inc. is a Houston-based energy company mostly engaged with LNG-related business. Cheniere owns and operate the Sabine Pass that LNG receiving terminal located in Louisiana. Cheniere has this privilege through their 90.6% ownership interest and management agreements with Cheniere Energy Partners, L.P., which is a publicly traded partnership developed in 2007. Cheniere also owns and operates the Creole Trail Pipeline which links the Sabine Pass LNG receiving terminal to downstream markets. Cheniere Energy, Inc’s primary business goal is to monetize the 2.0 B cf/d of re gasification capacity at their Sabine Pass LNG receiving terminal by entering into business relationships for the domestic marketing of natural gas through Cheniere Marking as LNG to the Sabine Pass LNG terminal. The corporation plans to accomplish this by entering into long-term customer contracts in connection with liquefaction project that is being developed by Cheniere Partners.
