ConocoPhillips (COP)
ConocoPhillips was founded back in 1875 and operates in more than 30 countries. With their headquarters in Houston, Texas they employ around 29,000 people with $155B in assets. Conoco focuses on oil and gas exploration and production, refining and marketing, midstream processing, and chemicals. Some of the exploration and production sites are located in the U.S., Norway, the UK, Australia, Canada which are all onshore production sites. COP’s offshore site are made up of locations in Timor-Leste, Indonesia, China, Vietman, Algeria, Nigeria, and Russia. ConocoPhillips owns a number of refineries across the U.S. making them the second-largest in the country. Conoco and Chevron own Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC as a 50/50 joint venture, headquarted in Texas, producing a wide range of petrochemicals globally with a focus on producing Olefins, Polyolefins, Aromatics and Styrenics.
