Petrobras is a publicly traded corporation with their major stockholder being the Brazilian Government. PBR’s sectors are made up of exploration and production, refining, oil and natural gas trade and transit, petrochemicals, derivatives, electric energy, biofuel, and various renewable energy source distribution. They are the leading oil company in Brazil and hope to be among the top 5 in the world by 2020. Petrobras’ current business plan consists foresees their investments to be close to $174.4 billion between 2010-2014.
