Vaalco is a Houston-based independent energy company principally engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and production of crude oil and natural gas. VAALCO’s strategy is to increase reserves and production through the exploration of oil and gas properties with a high emphasis on international opportunities. The company’s properties and exploration acreage are located primarily in Gabon and Angola, West Africa. Vaalco has interest in 1,186 square mile offshore concession in Garbon from a sharing contract signed in 1995 and resigned in 2005 for exploration of 27,000 acres on the central coast. In 2006 they gained exploration rights to 1.4 million acres of land in Angola.
